1920-D Buffalo Nickel. MS-64+ (NGC). CAC.
Both sides are warm pewter-gray with subtle pink and pale lilac highlights. The strike is sharp overall and the satiny luster is smooth enough to suggest a full Gem rating. As with so many mintmarked Buffalo nickel issues from the 1910s and 1920s, the 1920-D is typically encountered either well worn or in lower Mint State grades. This coin offers high grade and strong eye appeal and would be right at home in an advanced Buffalo nickel set.
