This is the VERY LAST gold 1 ounce Britannia coin struck under Queen Elizabeth II. As the highest denomination in this series, this coin is perhaps most coveted specimen among the Royal Succession Britannia coinage offered in this sale. It is the pinnacle of the first chapter of the Britannia series that began in 1987 and also the capstone to all coins struck in the name of Her Late Majesty.
