1867 Cyrus Field Atlantic Telegraph Cable Medal. Julian PE-10. Bronze. MS-63 BN (NGC).
102 mm. A second example of this rare and usually seldom-offered medal type. This is a smartly impressed, fully defined piece with faint obverse hairlines and a bit of brightness to the dominant color on that side. Generally autumn-bronze, warmer on the reverse, with blushes of steel-gray to both sides that are most prominent around the obverse periphery. There are no large handling marks, significant for a medal of this size, and the in hand eye appeal is strong.
