Redeemed 2013 Casascius 0.5 Bitcoin. Firstbits 124hMs2u. Series 2. Brass. MS-63 (ICG).
Redeemed and non-loaded. A pleasing example showing honey-gold coloration and subtle prooflike reflectivity. The honeycomb pattern has been revealed on the reverse, indicating that the security hologram has been peeled and that the coin has been redeemed. Even so, this remains an important artefact from the coveted "classic" period of physical crypto which spanned from 2011 through 2013. A similar Redeemed 2013 0.5 BTC sold for $2,040 in our June 2022 sale graded only slightly higher at MS-64 by ICG.
