GREAT BRITAIN. Groat, ND (1526-44). London Mint; mm: lis. Henry VIII. PCGS VF-35.
S-2337E; N-1797. Second coinage. Obverse: Crowned and mantled bust right; Reverse: Square-topped coat-of-arms over long cross fourchee. Rich slate gray surfaces reveal a slight bluish and magenta iridescence when ducked under a light source. Wear is light for the grade, and some satin brilliance that could be the remnants of original luster is visible in the areas surrounding the legends. Certainly a premium quality coin which will instigate spirited bidding from specialists.
