KM-499; Welter-1856. RARE. A single year type with this legend variety and an unusual design motif by virtue of the inner wreath separating the Wild Man from the outer legend. This example offers slightly uneven medium to dark gray surfaces, strongly rendered legends, and some softness in the central devices on both sides. Nonetheless, an elusive piece with only four offerings of the type noted in the last 20 years.
