1887-S Liberty Head Eagle. MS-62+ (PCGS). CAC.
This smartly impressed, fully defined example makes a lovely appearance due to the originality of the vivid rose-orange color that blankets both sides. With hundreds of low end Mint State coins found in European bank hoards in recent decades, the 1887-S is one of the more plentiful Liberty Head eagles from the 1880s. This is an uncommonly well preserved example, however, and one that will appeal to discerning gold enthusiasts.
