1888 Liberty Head Eagle. MS-60 (PCGS).
Faintly prooflike in finish, this lustrous example is also sharply struck from the dies. Pretty light pinkish-honey color throughout. This is a superior quality MS-60 to represent an underrated Philadelphia Mint eagle from the 1880s. From a mintage of 132,921 circulation strikes, comparatively few of which have survived as part of foreign bank hoards.
PCGS# 8712. NGC ID: 266K.
