1872 Shield Nickel. FS-101. Doubled Die Obverse. MS-65 (NGC).
Look to the annulet near the top of the obverse shield for the widest doubling evident on examples of this variety. Brilliant, satiny and fully impressed from the dies. Only one of two certified at this grade at NGC makes this a golden opportunity to add a Gem coin to a premium variety collection.
