Description

Scarce 1928 $500 Boston PCGS 63 Details

Fr. 2200-A. 1928 $500 Federal Reserve Note. Boston. PCGS Banknote Choice Uncirculated 63 Details. Small Edge Tear.

The 1928 Boston district has always been hailed as one of the rarest districts for the series. This example is the finest we have ever offered. Notes from this district are offered seldom in any grade, sometimes less than one a year will show up in public auctions. Fortunately, we also have an About Uncirculated example in tonight's sale. The front of the note faces up Gem, as it has boardwalk margins all around. There is a small edge tear on the bottom right, which is easier to locate on the back. While this note has a qualifier, it is very attractive and will always be considered one of the finest known for this scarce district.

Estimate: $12500.00- $17500.00
