Printed by BWC, Remainder. This is the final note of this virtually unavailable series, and also the highest denomination of the 1865 issue. This note is unlisted in Pick which only further adds to its allure. A run of just only 4,000 notes were issued on Jan. 2, 1865, S/N 002704. The front shows arms on the left and Legislative Palace on the right. Few pieces constitute arm trembling and jaw dropping reactions the way a rarity like this does. Iconic, and imperative for any advanced collection, as the financial story of Costa Rica can not fully be told without it. One of just a handful of pieces we would consider worthy to be on the Mt. Rushmore of Costa Rican currency. Hand Penned in the signature panels, with a PMG Comment of "Perforation Cancelled."
