cf. KM-CC49; Manville-46. Issued by Thistle Bank. Bi-facial Countermark: 4/9 within solid boarder surrounded by "Thistle Bank"; Reverse: Thistle sideways pointing left. Applied to the center of a 1792-Mo FM Mexico bust 8 Reales of Charles IIII (IV) (KM-109). An attractive example of the type displaying rich mottled patina with an iridescent sheen and minor earthen deposits amongst the devices. The countermark is boldly applied on a wholesome and evenly worn host, though slightly uneven. Wholesome and original looking, a pleasing problem free coin.
