ARGENTINA. Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires. 2 Pesos, 1891. P-S574r. Remainder. PMG About Uncirculated 50.
(BA-213s) The notes were redesigned and issued with Certificados de Deposito. The 1 and 5-peso notes were issued first and were widely circulated and accepted by the public. When they were redeemed, they were cancelled by punching holes in them or stamping them inutilizado. Based on this, it was decided to issue the rest of the notes in the series: 2, 10, 50, 100 and 500 pesos. However, the public did not believe that the bank had enough reserves so the notes were not accepted. Very few were issued. The only issued notes seen are in museums. A mere mention of Annotation found on the AU50 holder of this remainder. PMG About Uncirculated 50.
