CANADA. Dominion of Canada. 4 Dollars, 1879. P-DC-10. PMG Very Good 08 Net. Pieces Missing.
This iconic 4 Dollar was the first of its denomination to be printed by the Dominion Government, as issuance of notes less than 5 Dollar by chartered banks was prohibited after 1880. Just 1.2 million of these were produced, and they remain sought after by collectors and seldom seen in public auctions. This particular example does have a significant amount of wear, along with what PMG calls "pieces missing" however the majority of the design is still in tact. PMG Very Good 08 Net. Pieces Missing.
