GIBRALTAR. Government of Gibraltar. 1 Pound, 1914. P-8. PCGS Currency Fine 15.
Series B. A highly elusive early issue which is the first we can recall handling. Due to WWI, the note's purpose was to replace coinage. This note does not exist on the PMG census, and as far as we can tell, it is the only example we have seen in a PCGS holder. Therefor, this is certainly among the finest examples known of the type, and certainly rivals any we have seen thus far. The note itself was intended to be redeemed post issue at a later date. PCGS Currency mentions Small Edge Splits, and Tears. PCGS Currency Fine 15.
