KM-111.1; Cal-1168; Ramires-C8.6.1. Struck over previous cast Chihuahua 8 Reales. An interesting example of this crude royalist issue. Both distinctive countermarks from the original piece remain clearly visible along with a faint outline of the bust beneath the smaller overstruck rendition. Light cleaning is evident but the coin is a pleasing representative of the type overall.
