Description

1954 Jefferson Nickel. MS-66+ FS (PCGS).

This enchanting Gem exhibits pale iridescent gold toning over satiny surfaces. Both the striking quality and surface preservation are superior for this scarcer Philadelphia Mint Jefferson nickel issue from the 1950s, and it is little wonder that this coin is one of the very finest Full Steps examples of the 1954 currently known to PCGS. Mintage: 47,684,050 circulation strikes, a relatively limited total for the era.

PCGS# 84052. NGC ID: 22US.

PCGS Population: 3; 0 finer.

From the Finger Lakes Collection. Earlier from our November 2020 Auction, lot 5104.

Estimate: $1850
