Hessler-ITE2a. India paper mounted to card. Outlined 5 counters at left and right encompassed by petaled geometric devices with UNITED STATES repeated. Repeated 5 counters in primary design with UNITED STATES, OF AMERICA, PAY TO THE BEARER, vertically at center. "EXCHANGEABLE AT THE TREASURY FOR TREASURY NOTES PAYABLE THREE YEARS AFTER DATE BEARING 7 3/10 PR. OF INTEREST. An example of this back proof was paired with a face and sold in a 1991 Nasca sale for $7,700.
