Fr. 69. 1878 $5 Legal Tender Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.

A rare Friedberg by the standards of its peers from 1880 and 1907. This note stands representative of the ornate ornamental features that were frequently used during the 1870s. Displaying a vivid ornamental denomination counter at right accentuated by intricate floral adornments, a feature that stands distinct and marks a solid companion to the medium pinkish-red Treasury Seal at left. Overall, an exceptional note with no shortage of eye appeal and plenty of originality. A collector would undoubtedly be hard-pressed to find a comparable example. PMG Pop 7/1 Finer.
