1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 37.3-i, W-4110. Rarity-3. Draped Bust Left. AU-53 (PCGS).
156.4 grains. Light brown and pale gold on both sides. Obverse surface lightly granular, a little rough in the field at right, this due principally to die state. The reverse a little granular at upper left, some minor flaws, but the sharpness is still strong. Well centered on both sides. Just a short couple of steps below the finest seen for this Rarity-3 Miller number, which cluster around the certified AU-58 level.
PCGS# 687367. NGC ID: 2B2X.
