Description

1875-CC Twenty-Cent Piece. BF-2. Rarity-1. AU-58 (PCGS). CAC.

Wholesome, handsome, and totally original, this is a wonderfully patinated example with just a hint of friction keeping it out of a Mint State holder. Accents of crimson and azure toning on the obverse add to the visual allure. The Carson City Mint struck twenty cent pieces for only two years, 1875 and 1876, with the latter date being a classic rarity in all of American numismatics, a legendary coin. Thus the 1875-CC must suffice for most collectors two enjoy an example of this short lived series from this fabled mint.

PCGS# 5297. NGC ID: 23R6.

Estimate: $2000
