Description

1893-CC Liberty Head Eagle. VF-35 (PCGS).

Struck during the final year of operations at the Carson City mint, this eagle shows moderate circulation on both sides, but retains bold definition throughout. Only a single pair of dies was used to strike the 14,000 $10 gold pieces from this last emission and most saw at least some circulation, as most examples fall in the VF to EF range.

PCGS# 8726. NGC ID: 2672.

Purchased from Abe Kosoff, February 25, 1969.

Estimate: $1700
