Description

Fr. 350. 1891 $1 Treasury Note. PMG Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ.

A remarkable note preserved in a remarkable state of preservation. Precise centering, crisp margins, bold colors, bright paper, and exceptional detail are readily evident upon this piece of numismatic Americana. Only a handful of notes representing this Friedberg have achieved this lofty grade at PMG, a trait that extends to subsequent signature combinations. In our Spring and August 2023 Showcase auctions we had the privilege of handling a pair of superb gem examples representing Fr. 351 and Fr. 352 which realized a final price in excess of the official Estimate:. Like its comparably graded counterparts that we sold last year, we would not be surprised if this wonderful note exceeds our Estimate: when the hammer finally falls on this lot.

Estimate: $7000.00- $9000.00
