Printed by W&S. Tied with one other example as the finest graded. Watermark of F. Nansen (this would late be replaced by a guilloche & counter on the 1944 dated notes). Four punch cancellations with red specimen overprint. Dark green border design, with green/red undertint. Vibrant purple and orange design at right surrounding the watermark. Colorful purple, orange, green and pink guilloche below the central counter. Arms at top center. Stylized "N" above Scandinavian design. The design on the reverse is the monogram of King Haakon VII, with crown above. Printed in green ink, which would be changed for the 1944 series. Denominations above 2 Kroner were never issued for the 1942 series, so collectors can only obtain this denomination in Specimen form.
