MEXICO. Banco de Nuevo Leon. 500 Pesos, ND (ca 1890s). P-S365s2. M439s. Specimen. PMG Choice About Uncirculated 58.
The highest denomination printed for the one and only series of banknotes issued by this institution. While not impossible in remainder form, there are just two issued notes known to exist. Specimens such as this are considered very scarce as well. The bank was chartered in 1891 and would remain in business until 1916. The same series of notes was issued throughout its lifetime. A classic ABNC design is seen, featuring a city view of Monterrey. PMG Comments "Printer's Annotations."
