FRANCE. Consulate. Silver 2 Décimes Essai (Pattern), Year 8-A (1799/1800). Paris Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-63.
Maz-587a (R3). Fluted edge. By P.-J. Lorthior. Weight: 1.61 gms. A rather exquisite and RARE specimen, this minor pattern presents a subtle cobalt and aquamarine hue that blends rather seamlessly with the light gunmetal gray nature.
From the Richard Margolis Collection (acquired from Florange in September 1954). Ex: Marcel Baille Collection (Jules Florange & Cie FPL - 9/1954) Lot # 450.
