Description

Masterful 1974 QEII 10 Dollar Printer's Model
BAHAMAS. Central Bank of the Bahamas. 10 Dollars, 1974. P-Unlisted. Front Printer's Model. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.
An unadopted design featuring the most prevalent figure in world paper money. The design elements of this Printer's Model feature a rarely seen portrait of Queen Elizabeth II at right. This portrait is not featured on any other Bahamas paper money, although it does appear (in various forms) on notes from Fiji, Isle of Man and St. Helena. The engraving is based on a official photograph of the Queen taken around 1966 by Anthony Buckley. Certain elements of this printer's model have been cut and pasted onto this thick card stock typical of printer's models. Uncirculated and fully original with vibrant blue, rose, and light green design elements with a yellow undertint permeating at center. Highly unusual and never seen before, this would be a wonderful addition to any advanced collection of the Bahamas or Queen Elizabeth II paper money.

Estimate: $5000.00- $7500.00
