COLOMBIA. Republica de Colombia. 50 Centavos, 10.6.1893. P-Unlisted. DP 10456. Bond. PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.
A possibly unique bond from the Department of Cundinamarca dated 1893 (the PMG holder erroneously states 1873). The Danilo Parra Ariza reference lists this as "reported not confirmed". Bonds such as this are actively collected and provide an important look into the financial history of Colombia. This example, with ten bond coupons (out of twelve) still attached, paid 50 Centavos interest annually. Rather unusually, it does not state the original value, but we suspect it was 5 Pesos. As a bonus it also features low serial number 5. PMG comments "10 Coupons Attached, Stains, Tears, Small Hole."
