COLOMBIA. 1/4 Real, 1845-BOGOTA. Bogota Mint. NGC VF Details--Private Countermark.
EMO-2321.4 (Plate coin); KM-90.1; Restrepo-172.17. Variety with six-pointed stars. An interesting example of this SCARCE issue that displays the letters "C L" counterstamped neatly just above the date. While much of the reverse detail was obliterated by the countermarking, one of the six-pointed stars remains distinguishable, making its full attribution possible. Deep charcoal tone grants the coin some added visual appeal.
