MEXICO. San Luis Potosi. 1/4 Real, 1867 AFG. San Luis Potosi Mint. NGC MS-63 Brown.
EMO-3140.3 (Plate coin); KM-361. One-year type. Reeded Edge. This tremendous survivor is the finest certified of any variety of the type by NGC. The Choice state of preservation allows one to see the delicate details hidden among the devices, such as the engraver's initials and traces of the original coin over which this piece was struck. The lovely brown surfaces offer sharply struck detail all around, and some charming die polish can be detected upon the shimmery fields. A RARE offering at this level.
