1892-O Liberty Head Eagle. Winter-1, the only known dies. MS-62 (PCGS).
Handsome medium golden-honey surfaces are boldly to sharply struck with full, soft mint luster. The first New Orleans Mint eagle produced since 1888, the 1892-O is more obtainable than a mintage of 28,688 pieces might imply. Most of the coins repatriated from foreign bank hoards are heavily abraded, however, the present example is a distinct cut above the norm at the assigned grade level.
