FRANCE. Constitution. Bell Metal 2 Sols Module Essai (Pattern), "1713" (1792). Paris Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-64.
Maz-326 (R3); Hennin-428. Plain edge. Weight: 25.03 gms. An unusual and RARE type featuring a stork and its young along with a Phrygian cap on a pole, this specimen features mostly even brown surfaces, with Margolis noting that "...this is the finest example seen of this piece. "
From the Richard Margolis Collection (acquired from Bourgey in May 2000). Ex: Sabine Bourgey FPL (5/2000) Lot # 37.
