1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 2-B, W-2755. Rarity-3. Mailed Bust Left. EF-45 (PCGS).
130.1 grains. Mottled light olive brown on the obverse with some deeper brown through the fields, while the reverse is a bit more steely in tone. A couple of small green deposits are noted on the obverse and there is minor crustiness in some of the recesses. Well centered and evenly struck on both sides save for an area beneath the effigy's bust that was apparently impacted by thinness of the flan. Weak in this area on both sides showing natural texture. Sharp clash marks on both sides.
PCGS# 686404.
From the Sydney F. Martin Collection. Earlier ex Christopher B. Young, April 1996.
