1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 3-G.1, W-2805. Rarity-6-. Mailed Bust Left. VG-10 (PCGS).
98.0 grains. Glossy deep olive brown flecked with deep tan mottling, though both sides exhibit varying degrees of shallow roughness. Some is likely planchet texture, but it is probably also accentuated by environmental action. Late die state with bulging at the central left obverse and struck on a lightweight flan that was slightly out of round. A small edge flaw is noted over the effigy's brow. Fairly well used, but rare and still pleasantly discernible despite the poor flan and general softness.
PCGS# 686405.
