Description
1788 Connecticut Copper. Miller 12.1-F.1, W-4520. Rarity-4+. Mailed Bust Left. VF Details--Scratched (PCGS).
145.4 grains. Mostly olive brown flecked with subtle tan and an area of mahogany in the left obverse. Pleasantly glossy but striated with shallow flaws on the obverse and with a large natural void on the reverse that extends through the edge. A couple of light scratches are also noted on both sides. Essentially perfect centering with good definition where struck up, but quite weak at the lower obverse and upper reverse.
