Pr-2947. Struck in the name and types of Alexander III (the Great) of Macedon. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding scepter and eagle; ΛΓ (date) in left field. A nicely struck and centered example of this stylistic issue. Quite well-preserved with only a small flan flaw on Herakles' cheek. Deep cabinet toning with a subtle lustrous sheen.
