Hyder Nawaz Jung signature. An original an appealing example of this important type from Hyderabad. The princely states of India were semi-autonomous regions ruled by local monarchs under British suzerainty. Hyderabad was one of them and issued a series of bank notes printed by Waterlow & Sons including the present example. None are common in uncirculated grades, and demand typically far exceeds demand.
