SNG ANS-298. Early posthumous issue. Obverse: Laureate head of Apollo facing right; Reverse: Biga driving right, monogram below. A wonderful specimen with a perfectly centered strike and great luster. Faint scratches appear on the obverse. Under Philip II, Macedon rose to dominate the Greek world and went on to conquer much of the known ancient world under his son, Alexander the Great.
