Fr-1358. A boldly struck Gem example, untoned with attractive silky luster, the obverse exhibits nearly full figures and a full rearing antelope to right. A highly desirable issue in this unsurpassed grade. Krishna Raja Wodeyar III was the 22nd Maharaja of Mysore (1799-1831), and titular monarch (1831-1868) under British Rule. The maharaja was a big proponent of literature, language and the arts with a particular fondness for the music. During his resign, the kingdom of Mysore saw positive cultural growth as a result.
