ROMAN EMPIRE: Valens, 364-378 AD, AV solidus (4.43g), Antioch, RIC-2d, D N VALENS PER F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right // RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE, Valens standing right, holding labarum and Victory on globe, mint mark ANTE followed by star, minor graffiti in reverse field, bold VF to EF. Same obverse die as the example in Roma E-Sale 61, Lot 1001.
