BAHRI MAMLUK: Abu Bakr, 1341, AV dinar (8.32g), al-Qahira, AH742, A-924, with his titles al-mansur sayf al-dunya wa'l-din abu bakr bin al-malik al-nasir muhammad, mint above and date below the obverse field (enough of the mint name is clear to confirm that it is al-Qahira), choice EF, RRR, ex Gamal Amer Collection, ex Morton & Eden Auction 89, Lot 76. Gold coins of Abu Bakr are extremely rare, with only 2 examples cited on CoinArchives, both of al-Qahira AH742 (this piece is one of them).
