ABBASID: al-Amin, 809-813, AV dinar (2.97g), Madinat al-Salam, AH198, A-220.6, Lowick-1409, citing al-Amin below the reverse field, with the phrase rabbi Allah above; the final issue by al-Amin, when beseiged in Baghdad, surrounded by the troops of Tahir, who was fighting on behalf of al-Ma'mun; al-Amin was finally defeated, captured and executed later in AH198, EF, RRR. Only one example on CoinArchives, which was sold in our Auction 34, Lot 336, in VF condition.
