YABGHUS OF TOKHARISTAN: Yabghus of Bactria, 7th century, AR drachm (4.24g), year 2, G-266, winged bust right derived from the Sasanian Vistahm (591-596), but with only one wing and the bull's head added atop the crown, NYCK[Y] MLKA to left, unread legend to right // standard fire altar & two attendants, year 2 (TLYN) right and somewhat blundered mint name for Zabulistan to the right; unpublished variety, choice EF, RRR. Most examples are dated, usually year 10, sometimes 11, 12, 15, and many with blundered date. There is nothing like this one amongst the 107 examples filed on Zeno or on CoinArchives.
