MAR'ASHID: Anonymous, later series, ca. 1391-1392 (AH795/796), AR tamla (6.63g), Astarabad, A-N2347, citing Muhammad in the center, mint in inner margin, date in outer margin, with the month Rajab // Sunni kalima in the center, the names of the 12 Shi'ite Imams in the margin; struck to the former late Kart tanka standard (about 7.0g), VF, RRR. This appears to be the second known example of the Astarabad mint (first was sold in our Auction 38, lot 575); this example has more complete legends, especially on the obverse.
