MEXICO: Carlos IV, 1788-1808, AR 8 reales, 1803-Mo, KM-109, assayer FT, with the bust modified into a left-facing laureate bust, hairlines, VF. These pieces seem to have been unofficially modified as love tokens or as a political statement. See Gurney (pp. 179-182) for similar examples.
