Born to Marcus Agrippa and Julia the Elder, Caius Caesar and Lucius Caesar were adopted by Augustus as joint-heirs. This coin commemorates their appointment as designated consuls and first among the youth. Neither, however, would outlive their grandfather and sit on Rome's throne.
