Good Extremely Fine; gently smoothed with some tooling, otherwise a magnificent bronze, with a splendid brown patina and striking portrait of Verus | ROMAN EMPIRE. Lucius Verus.
Bronze sestertius, AD 163-164. Rome.
Obv: L AVREL VERVS AVG ARMENIACVS, laureate head right. Rev: TR P IIII IMP II COS II, Victory, winged and half-draped, standing right, fixing to a palm-tree a shield inscribed VIC AVG; S-C across fields.
Good Extremely Fine; gently smoothed with some tooling, otherwise a magnificent bronze, with a splendid brown patina and a striking portrait of Verus.
