Description
Western Asiatic Decorated Axehead 2nd millennium B.C. A substantial bronze axehead with square-section shank and slightly curved edge, broad socket with rounded ends; incised design incorporating two hatched birds with serpents. 416 grams, 13.5 cm (5 3/4 in.). Acquired before 1990. With a central London gallery. Private collection of a North West London lady.
