Civil War Cannon Ball Group Circa 17th century A.D. A group of two iron English Civil War period cannon balls, each spherical in shape and slightly differently sized. Cf. Found near Granby, Nottinghamshire, UK, by Ken Burrell whilst searching with a metal detector on Tuesday 1st November 2016. Accompanied by a copy of the British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme report number DENO-066263 for one. H.L.Blackmore (1976) suggests that such cannon balls may have been fired from a 'robinett' cannon. [2, No Reserve]
