Neo-Classical Gilt Base Silver Box with Cameo
19th century A.D. With hinged lid and stamped acanthus-leaf detailing; gilt corner-plates to the lid and incised scrolled foliage; central cell with inset cameo depicting a reclining nude figure in a landscape. 75 grams, 74 mm (2 7/8 in.).
Acquired 1960s-1990s. Late Alison Barker collection, a retired London barrister. [No Reserve]
